The Eiffel Tower

On July 1, 1887, Gustave Eiffel's magnificent design came
to life, as the assembly of the tower began. It took 22 months,
18,000 roughly 5 meter pieces, and 150 - 300 workers to complete.
Truly a fabulous gift to the world and to 19th century construction.
